Elliot Jager: Born and raised on New York's Lower East Side, I was educated in neighborhood yeshivot. While working my way through school, I garnered 23 years worth of experience in New York City government mostly in policy implementation, records management, administration and logistics. I also taught political science as an adjunct for 10 years, mostly at NYU, Baruch and Hofstra before making aliya in 1997. Now, I'm grateful to live in Jerusalem with my wife Lisa Clayton. In 1999, I joined the Jerusalem Post newspaper and worked there for 11 years in various senior editorial capacities. In March 2010, I was invited to become the first editor of Jewish Ideas Daily. I still proudly contribute to the site though nowadays I spend much of my time working on other Tikvah Fund programs and projects mostly in education and research.
